Getting Started with protocols.io

Date:

Friday, October 25, 2019, 2:00pm to 4:00pm

Location:

This workshop is part of Open Access Week 2019 sponsored by Harvard Library

Using up-to-date research methods is essential for researchers. However, advancing research methods is often not rewarded though it is a demanding process. protocols.io is an open science platform for sharing and discovering up-to-date research methods. Publishing the methods from research manuscripts helps to increase the reproducibility of the published research, and reduce the common but unhelpful “contact author for details” or “we used a slightly modified version of the protocol reported in paper XYZ”.

Come learn about protocols.io from the CEO and Cofounder, Lenny Teytelman, PhD.

The workshop will be hands-on and is aimed at graduate students, postdocs, and faculty across disciplines. No knowledge of programming or other specialized tools is required. Participants should bring their own laptop in order to participate.
