Location:

Hybrid: HKS Library & Zoom

HKS Data + Donuts is a learning and discussion group that offers a welcoming space to engage critically with issues of data and society. Every few weeks during the academic year, we invite researchers and practitioners to facilitate conversations around their area of expertise โ€“ and share donuts!

Victoria Asbury is a cultural sociologist and PhD candidate in Sociology at Harvard, who uses innovative methods to produce empirical knowledge about American identity, racial attitudes, immigration, and U.S. politics.

At this session of Data + Donuts, Victoria will discuss the computational text analysis, experimental survey, and behavioral game methods she uses to examine relationships between political discourse, attitudes, resource allocation, and national belonging in the U.S.

This event will be held in a hybrid format. Speakers will present via Zoom. Please register to receive a link to join via Zoom. In-person attendees can join us in the Library Commons.
